History of Gower New Life Church
Gower New Life Church was officially launched on Sunday 8th October 2017 during a harvest service at Mount Pisgah Chapel in Parkmill. However, this was not the beginning of the story. The story actually started few months earlier.
Four years after being part of the team that planted Liberty Church Swansea, Patrice and Rachael Aka felt the Call to start a new church in Gower. While looking for a possible location for the new church, an important door was opened at the Barham centre, Mount Pisgah, in Parkmill.
After discussions with Rev. Grenville Fisher, minister of Mount Pisgah chapel and members of the chapel, together with the small team led by Patrice and Rachael, the two groups united to form Gower New Life Church. In 2020 Gower New Life moved its Sunday services to Pennard Hall in Vennaway lane to accommodate a growing number of members and children who wished to attend and continue to maintain links with Mount Pisgah.
The new church is enriched by the background of both groups. Mount Pisgah chapel has a rich history of worship and a deep connection with the community. Patrice and Rachael and their team bring a new vision, a contemporary edge and leadership to the new church.
We are proud of our history and thank God for his faithfulness over the years, but we are even more excited about this new adventure and looking forward to all that God has in store for Gower.
